It is rare for me to enjoy an album with such a strong post-rock vibe. This type of post-rock often creates a contradictory and tense tension through the sustained use of dissonant intervals (such as minor ninth and minor eleventh chords), making it difficult for me to immerse myself in it for extended periods (live experiences are another matter). However, the merit of this album lies in its arrangement, which provides listeners with necessary “breathing space”: the middle sections no longer rely on these highly dissonant sonic techniques but instead adopt a “subtractive” approach in composition, effectively alleviating auditory pressure while maintaining the overall stylistic consistency.Additionally, the psychedelic texture presented in the work is well-handled, with an expansive soundstage and a convincingly crafted exotic atmosphere. The only slight shortcoming is that the vocals in certain sections appear somewhat pale and slightly disconnected from the overall texture; reducing their prominence appropriately might further enhance the overall immersive experience.
