As a musician who pioneered the fusion of electronic glitch textures with dance beats and significantly shaped the direction of electronic pop in the following decade, Robyn no longer needs to prove anything. This new album largely remains within her familiar and safe comfort zone. Compared to the cold, gritty texture of early tracks that felt like tears on the dance floor, the emotions now lean more toward the warmth and restraint polished by time. Unfortunately, in terms of melody creation, she still hasn’t shown any particularly compelling ideas, making the overall listening experience somewhat flat. In contrast, the remixes by Arca and others offer a sharper musical sensibility in sound processing and structural rearrangement.
作为将电子故障质感与舞曲鼓点前瞻性融合、并在相当程度上塑造了后十年电子流行走向的音乐人，Robyn 已经完全不需要再证明什么了。这张新专整体仍然停留在她熟稔且稳妥的舒适区之内，相较于早期在舞池中心落泪质感的冷感与粗粝，如今的情绪更趋向于被时间打磨后的温润与内敛。可惜在旋律创作上她依旧没有展现出吸引人的想法，整体听感略显平直。反倒是 Arca 等人参与的 Remix，在音色处理与结构重组上提供了更敏锐的音乐语感。
