As many hyperpop musicians gradually fade from the scene, April instead looks back to the vibrant soundscape of 2010s EDM, crafting a clean, precise, and straightforward pure pop dance album rooted in bubblegum bass and digicore. Its production quality is almost beyond words, with every element meticulously organized to serve the listening experience: seamless transitions between sections, embedded glitch textures, fluid beat designs, and dynamic control that achieves a “light yet impactful” effect even amidst dense instrumentation, all contributing to a brisk and sharp dance-driven feel. In a sense, this album pushes “listener-oriented production” to its limits; if even a work like this cannot be considered “good to listen to,” then I truly don’t know what could be.
